: Cover includes a drawing a clearing within a forest; a tent is in the background; in the foreground an African American man and woman bowing to each other before engaging in dance; behind them are several other couples in various stages of dancing. Note 2.) Descriptive subtitle below caption title: A song in black. Note 3.) On cover: A characteristic march which can be used effectively as a two-step, polka or cake walk. Note 4.) Summary: African Americans of various characteristics gather for a camp meeting; after the meeting a hired band plays which made them happy; the music and the dancing were so nice the preacher did not think it was a sin.
