Additions from a survey in 1822. Note 3.) NYPL copy in Map Div. 97-6022 has ink stains and ms. note in ink in area of Bahamas, and ms. note in ink on verso: Coast of U. States & Bahamas Banks, [D.?] S[tud?]e. Note 4.) NYPL copy in Map Div. 97-6022 imperfect: lacking pieces in northeasternmost corner; repaired with plain paper. Note 5.) Oriented with north to the upper right. Note 6.) Annotated with color to show lighthouses. Note 7.) Backed with blue paper and edged with cloth. Note 8.) Consists of 7 sheets pasted together to form L-shaped chart, with lower extension of L covering Bahamas. Note 9.) Covers Atlantic Coast of U.S. from New York to Florida, northern part of Cuba and the Bahamas. Note 10.) Includes notes, 13 insets, and 11 views. Note 11.) Lawrence H. Slaughter Collection ; 251.
