: Picture caption; "Zu den Toten der Bewegung gehören nun auch die Opfer dieses rucklosen Anschlages. Vor der Feldherrnhalle waren sie aufgebahrt. An einer ergreifenden Totenfeier nahm auch der Führer teil." Note 2.) The Feldherrnhalle, or "Field Marshals' Hall", in Munich is a building (styled after a Renaissance Italian arcade) dedicated to Bavarian military glory. It had a special meaning to Nazi party members because it was in front of this building that a volley of shots from the Bavarian police and German army put an end to Hitler's Putsch in 1923. Note 3.)
