: Picture caption: "In dieser Rede ehrte der Führer die grandiosen Leistungen der deutschen Wehrmacht und zeichnete die Generale aus, die sich besonders hervorgetan hatten, an ihrer Spitze Hermann Göring, der neue Reichsmarschall des Reiches, zwölf Generalfeldmarschälle u.a.m." Note 2.) These were the field marshals and generals who had led the recent victorious German offensive on the Western Front against France, Belgium and the Netherlands, defeating all three nations in less than a month and a half.
