: Picture caption: "Zu einer starten und vor allem schnellen Wasse find die deutschen Schnellbote [sic.] geworden. Sie haben sich in kurzer Zeit einen guten Namen gemacht, besonders bei der U-Boot-Sicherung." Note 2.) Title translates German picture caption Note 3.) The more well-known Allied name for these large and capable vessels was "E-boat", which simply stood for "Enemy boat".
