Production Notes

: Based on the play The Warrior's Husband by Julian Thompson, the musical is set in the land of the Amazons, where women fight in wars and the men stay home and take care of the children. The score and book by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart. Opened at the Shubert Theater on June 3, 1942, and ran for 427 performances, with Ray Bolger, Benay Venuta, Vera-Ellen and Constance Moore.
