: Opened April 4, 1940 at the Shubert Theater. It ran for 84 performances. Music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Lorenz Hart, book by Gladys Hurlbut and Joshua Logan. It starred Jack Haley, Marta Eggert, Shirley Ross, Leif Erickson and Lee Dixon; Vera Ellen and June Allyson were also in the cast.
