: Opened at the Broadhurst Theater on January 3, 1952 and ran through April 18, 1953, for 540 performances. The leading roles were played by Harold Lang, Vivienne Segal and Helen Gallagher; the cast included Elaine Stritch as Melba and Bob Fosse, who was understudy for the role of Joey.
