Opened at the Ethel Barrymore Theater on December 25, 1940 and ran for 734 performances. Music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Lorenz Hart, book by John O'Hara, based on O'Hara's stories. It was directed by George Abbott, and starred Gene Kelly, Vivienne Segal and June Havoc, with Jean Casto as Melba.
