Production Notes

: The original production previewed in Washington, D.C. shortly before Christmas 1926. The show opened at the New Amsterdam Theater on Broadway December 28, 1926. It ran for 39 performances. Music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Lorenz Hart, book by Irving Ceasar, producer Florenz Ziegfeld. It starred Belle Baker and Al Shean. The Irving Berlin song Blue Skies was inserted into the second act, sung by Belle Baker.
