: Printed on verso: "Orient Village. Known as the home of the widow Shaw. Built in 1730 by Richard Shaw. 'On the night of August 1, 1777, James Griggin, pursued by British soldiers, leaped from an upper window and escaped into the forest. Widow Shaw, being taken for dead was placed in a receiving vault, only to revive and return to the consternation of her neighbors.' (quoted from plaque on building)"
