: After a painting from an Attic red-figure kylix, late 5th century BC, in the Gregorian Etruscan Museum, Vatican Museums. Note 2.) Written on border: "Triptolemos on his chariot drawn by two dragons, gift of Ceres [Demeter]. He is leaving Eleusinium, holding two stalks of wheat to show men on earth the art of planting and cultivating it. A flowering sceptre rests on his shoulder. Gregorian Museum, Rome."
