: The Roman Forum of Athens is located north of the acropolis and east of the original classical Greek agora. The Roman forum was built in the first and second centuries A.D. During this period barbarians destroyed the ancient Greek Agora. The forum was the market place and administrative center of the city. Note 2.) Written on border: "Forum at Athens ; reconstruction of early 1800s." Stains on border.
