: Printed on border: "In 1675 the Virginia colony was again in danger from Indian raids. The settlers asked Governor Berkeley for aid, but he refused -- as shown here. However, troops were raised under Nathaniel Bacon. When Berkeley called this action treason, Bacon seized and burned Jamestown. Known as Bacon's Rebellion it collapsed when Bacon died." Includes additional text.
